My name is Richard and I’m a retired software engineer. I retired in 2000 at the age 0f 46, thanks to ATI Technologies (now AMD) stock options. In 2007, at the solicitation of my good friend, Dr. Frank Sommers, I created a website for an international, online, sex counselling service called The Good Sex Network. The project, for which I was not paid, was a labour of love. (More details about the project can be found here and here.)
I have a number of hobbies, including film and television, computers/Information Technology/Internet, archery, cooking, chess, martial arts (karate and aikido), and most recently photography. I’m not really big on travel, but I’ve been to Alaska, California, Florida, Nevada (Las Vegas), Washington, and China.
I am politically non-partisan and middle-of-the-road (tending slightly toward the left). I am not religious, but I am definitely spiritual, having more in common with Eastern philosophy.
